Reservations

Do I need a reservation to skydive?
While you might be able to “walk-in” to a location and skydive, it is not recommended. Reservations, even if made the same day, reserve your spot in a training class and assure you that you will jump that day (of course, weather permitting). Summer is here and will soon be over and many of the locations sell out, especially on the weekends. So call 1-800-SKYDIVE to reserve your tandem skydive today!

How far in advance should I schedule my skydive?
We recommend scheduling a few days in advance, especially for the weekend, so call 1-800-SKYDIVE for availability.

How do I make a reservation to skydive?

Just call us at 1-800-SKYDIVE! We will take a non-refundable deposit for each jumper and put you into one of the regularly scheduled classes.

How long will I have to wait once I arrive at the airport before I can jump?

Plan on spending a minimum of ½ day at the drop zone on the day of your scheduled appointment. Once you arrive you will be asked to fill out some paperwork and watch an instructional video. Next you will participate in your training class. Then you are ready to jump. You must take into consideration that you may not be first in line to jump, other customers might have been their waiting before you. Since the plane ride to altitude is approximately 25 minutes, you will also be waiting on your ride. Skydiving is a weather dependent sport. Weather can be a factor in delays. It can be a beautiful blue skied day but if the winds are too strong, we may be forced to go on a wind hold for safety’s sake but your instructors and manifest staff will keep you updated if this were to occur.

What time can I skydive?

Classes are scheduled every day of the week at varying times. Please call 1-800-SKYDIVE for details.

First Time Skydivers

What do I need to do to skydive?
It’s as easy as making a phone call! Call us at 1-800-SKYDIVE and we will take your name, address, phone number and a small non-refundable deposit. On the day of your jump, bring your ID, comfortable clothes (a jumpsuit will be provided), shoes (not sandals or boots) and some extra cash for food, video, tips for your instructors, t-shirts, etc.

I’ve never skydived before, do I have to do a tandem jump?
It is recommended that you do a tandem jump your first time. However, you may do an Accelerated Freefall jump course and jump solo your first time.

What do I need to do to become a certified skydiver?

To become a skydiver certified by the United States Parachute Association (USPA), you need to go through the AFF student program, and have a minimum of 20 freefall skydives.

How much does it cost to get certified?

You will first need to go through our AFF program and complete a minimum of 20 freefall jumps. The total cost is about the same as one college course. After you are certified, you can jump anywhere in the world for only $15-21!

Can I do a tandem jump at night or in a competition?

No, you must be a certified skydiver to participate in night jumps or competitions.

Safety

How safe is it to skydive?
Your safety is our top priority. All of our student parachutes are equipped with a computerized AAD (Automatic Activation Device), called a CYPRES (Cybernetic Parachute Release System). Although it is the skydiver's responsibility to deploy their parachute, the AAD is designed to activate the parachute automatically should the skydiver be incapable to do so. All of our skydiving instructors have undergone rigorous training and national USPA certification. We are proud to be a United States Parachute Association (USPA) enhanced group member drop zone; we strictly adhere to all FAA and USPA guidelines on safety. The United States Parachute Association (USPA) keeps detailed safety records and is a great resource to check out if you are concerned about the safety of skydiving -- http://www.uspa.org/about/page2/relative_safety.htm

Groups

How big of a group can you accommodate?
Groups of up to 60 people can jump in a day! For large groups (10 or more jumpers) please call at least 1 week ahead of the day you would like to jump so that we are able to hold your spots in class.

Do you have group rates?

Yes, each of our drop zones offer group discounts. Call 1-800-SKYDIVE for current prices and group rates.

How many people can jump at one time / I want to jump with my friend – can we both be on the same plane?

One to 5 tandems will be on each plane and while we cannot guarantee that any group will be able to get on the same plane we always do our very best to keep groups together.

Will I be able to see my friend in freefall?

No you will not be able to see other tandems in freefall. To ensure everyone’s safety, instructors will only exit the plane after the previous skydiver is a safe distance away. Under canopy, however, you will be able to see other skydivers under their parachutes and you can even hear them clearly.

Video and Stills Package

Can my friend and I be on the same video?
One person's freefall will be on each video. However, footage and stills can usually be taken of groups or couples on the ground, in the plane and after your jump. Just ask your videographer.

Can I buy just the still photos or just the video?
The videographer who will jump with you has both a stills camera and a video camera attached to his or her helmet, so it is a package.

Weather

What if it rains on the day I’m scheduled to jump?
If the weather does not permit safe jumping, your confirmation letter acts as a rain check (so hold on to your letter until your jump is completed). You will still need to contact the drop zone to reschedule your skydive. If your reservation is made 1 day prior to your jump through 1-800-SKYDIVE call the drop zone where you are scheduled and a rain check from directly from them.

The weather wasn’t good on the day I was supposed to make my skydive. What do I do now?
Call the drop zone where you are scheduled to jump and they will reschedule your skydive for a time that is convenient for you.

Cancellations, Refunds & Rescheduling

What is your refund policy?
There are no refunds for any reason. However, all deposits are good for 1 year from date of purchase and are transferable. In other words, if you cannot jump for any reason, you can transfer your deposit to anybody else who can jump.

What is your cancellation policy?
You must contact 1-800-SKYDIVE three days prior to your scheduled jump to cancel a reservation completely. If you meet these requirements we will give you a full refund. Please remember that your deposit is good for 1 year from the date of purchase and is good at any of our locations. If you need to reschedule your confirmed jump for any reason we ask that you call the location where you are scheduled to jump. At the time of your reservation we provide you with all of the information you will need regarding the location in which you wish to jump.

Miscellaneous

Is their a weight requirement or limitations?
While there is no weight requirement, depending on the location where you choose to jump the weight limit ranges from 220 lbs to 250lbs. Please call 1-800-SKYDIVE for details.

How old do I have to be to skydive?
You must be at least 18 years old. Parents cannot sign for jumpers under 18 years of age under any circumstances. There is no upper age limit - you are never too old to experience the thrill of skydiving! An 80th birthday is as good of a reason to skydive as an 18th birthday is!

Can I drink alcoholic beverages at any time on the drop zone?
No. Alcoholic beverages are not permitted at any location on the drop zone by anyone while skydiving is taking place, even if you are not jumping. After the last load of the day has left the ground, you are welcome to enjoy any frosty beverage of your choice, providing you are over the legal drinking age.
