Tandem
Skydiving
|
| |
Today's
most innovative and popular way of making your first jump
is tandem skydiving. Tandem jumping is such an incredible
experience as you get the high speed thrill of freefall, followed
by the serenity and beauty of the parachute ride. |
|
Tandem
jumping uses the dual instruction approach similar to learning
how to fly an airplane, and your tandem instructor will be
there to back you up through all phases of your skydive. When
the time comes to jump, you and your instructor will exit
the plane 2 miles above the earth and you will feel the exhilaration
of freefall as you reach speeds of up to 120 mph. Most people
find it amazing that they experience total control during
freefall. The wind feels like a cushion of air suspending
you in space and the sensation is more like floating!
Once
the parachute is opened, you and your instructor will glide
gently back to earth. The canopy is rectangular in shape,
similar to the wing of an airplane and completely controllable.
Once you are back on earth, you will receive a first jump
certificate and all the necessary information on how to become
a licensed skydiver. Whether you are planning to become a
skydiver or just want to experience the thrill of a lifetime,
this is a great introduction into the exciting world of freefall
skydiving!!! |

Video
and Still Photographs |
| |
|
| |
New
England prides itself in having some of the best freefall
photographers who can make your jump even more exciting and
memorable by capturing your skydive on film. Your video begins
with you on the ground getting ready for your jump. While
riding up to jump altitude, your photographer will film you
in the plane as well as capture views of the surrounding area.
Once it is time to exit the plane, your photographer will
climb out of the plane first and capture your exit, entire
freefall and deployment of your canopy. Your photographer
will then film your landing up close and catch your first
expressions and verbalizations.
Your video will be edited, set to music and last approximately
10 minutes. Share your skydiving experience with your family
and friends on DVD, VHS and in still photographs. Your
freefall can truly last a lifetime! |

AFF
Certification |
| |
|
| |
To
become a skydiver certified by the United States Parachute
Association (USPA), you need to go through the Accelerated
Free Fall student program, and have a minimum of 25 freefall
skydives. After you have completed your tandem skydive, ask
the drop zone where you jumped for more information. Each
location offers AFF classes and will be happy to help you. |
